In November Birlinn held an event with a difference at the Scottish Railway Exhibition of Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway for the launch of Iron Road by P. J. G. Ransom.
Guests were allowed to climb on and explore the steam engines on display at the exhibition, and have their own copy of the book signed by the author.
The exhibition features a large selection of railway memorabilia courtesy of the Scottish Railway Preservation Society, including locomotives, carriages, and wagons, as well as models and displays telling the history of the railway in Scotland. It was the perfect place for the launch of a book that celebrates this history and the enthusiasts who have kept it alive.
