 Colm O Baoill
Colm Ó Baoill studied in Belfast, where he was awarded a PhD degree in 1966. He taught for many years in the Celtic department of Aberdeen University, where he is now Professor Emeritus. He has edited (in conjunction with Meg Bateman), an anthology of seventeenth-century Scottish Gaelic poetry, Gàir nan Clàrsach (The Harps’ Cry), also published by Birlinn, and is a specialist in Irish Gaelic poetry of the same period. |
