The Cuillins of Skye are known the world over, but Scotland’s most famous island has much else to offer besides this: from the little crofting townships of the Sleat peninsula to the bustling town of Portree, from the bizarre rock formations at Trotternish to the romantic Dunvegan Castle.
In this book Cailean Maclean celebrates the huge variety of scenery Skye has to offer, capturing the spirit of the island in a series of photographs that demonstrate a profound understanding and affection for a place with which his family has had a deep association for generations.
Cailean Maclean was born and brought up in the Outer Hebrides and has been living on the Isle of Skye since the early 1980s. He has contributed photographs to a large number of books, including Skye: The Island, The Highlands and Skyescapes.
