Glen Michael's Cartoon Cavalcade (later
Glen Michael's Cavalcade) was one of STV’s most popular programmes ever, playing to millions of viewers during its record breaking 26-year run. As its host, Glen (together with Paladin, the talking lamp, Totty the Robot and dogs Rudi and Rusty) introduced generations of Scots to some of the world’s cartoon greats, including
Asterix the Gaul,
Bugs Bunny,
Caspar the Friendly Ghost and
Spiderman.
The show was eventually dropped in 1992, but by then Glen and his show had become a cult classic across the central belt of Scotland. Now Polygon is delighted to be publishing
Glen Michael’s autobiography,
Life’s a Cavalcade, and reconnecting Glen with his generations of nostalgic viewers.
