Two John Donald books – Oral Literature and Performance Culture by John Beech, Owen Hand, Mark Mulhern and Jeremy Weston, and The Fiddle in Scottish Culture by Katherine Campbell – have been shortlisted for the Katharine Briggs Folklore Award 2008.

The award ceremony will take place on 11th November 2008. Birlinn Limited would like to wish the authors the best of luck and extend warm congratulations for being chosen from among the many fine titles that were undoubtedly submitted.
